     New challenges before the people of India

          The people of India are getting ready for the next general elections and they shall be installing a new government in the centre.  They shall be electing members for the Parliament and since they are not getting people of their choice, they shall  be facing difficulty in electing members for the Parliament.  The news papers and other sources of media are giving them lists of the same faces which have been tried by the people and it is on record that most of those people are not within the zone of liking of the people.  They shall be going halfheartedly to the polling booths and because they shall not be willing participants in these elections.

              The people know that these political people are from the same block and they have divided themselves in political parties just like teams and they play friendly matches.  The people are simply spectators and at times they start laughing, at times they start weeping and at times they are surprised to note the functioning of these people.  The people are never happy with the elections and they are not in a position to bring people of their own choice in the field.  The people are selected by the political parties and the people do not know what are the considerations on the basis of which they select people for elections.  Some people in India believe that the people purchase party tickets for elections and if this is true, then there could be chances that even ministries are purchased by these politicians. 

            At present some faces are coming out and they are planning to come in the field.  We are noticing that some of t hese faces had been in news papers and there had been criminal charges against them.  Some have been convicted and some are on bail.  But since they are having a chance to win, they shall be filing nominations and the people who have got no choice and alternative with them, they shall be electing them and they shall sit in the Parliament and shall govern us.  On one hand we cannot appoint a peon who is convicted, but on the other hand we shall be having ministers who are under clouds.  The law must be amended in such a way that where charges have been framed, such people should not be allowed to take part in elections.  Charges means there is a prima facie case against the person and therefore, he should not be allowed to contest elections for the august house.

            The Election Commission has already announced election schedule and now there shall be no amendment in the election law.  But we, the people of India shall pray to all the political parties to bring before us their shadow cabinets so that we could elect our own ministers and this work should not be left to the Prime Minister of India.  All  the political parties should either fight elections independently or they should form alliances before elections and all these political parties and alliances must give at least one candidate for each constituency in India and parties and alliances who fail, they should not participate in elections.

            Most of the political parties and alliances have got no principles on which they shall work, they are having mere slogans who are tried one and have already failed.  Our basic problems are standing there from where we had started in 1947 and then in 1052-53. The reason is very simple and we must accept that we had not been electing competent people.  We must accept this time that we shall be electing competent people.  Most of the members present in our houses are not having any knowledge about the problems of the people of India.  Most of them are present in the house just to show that they too have some importance in the country.  They just smile on some point and if they are asked to vote, they vote as per directions in the whips and not otherwise.  Very few people vote as per their own conscience.  We should avoid entry of such people in the houses, because  this is not house of lords, but here we have to send servants of the people.  And this time, the voters in India shall be electing only those who shall be fit persons to serve the people of India who are the real masters of this country.
