Origami, five cherry blossom sell? Why five years, important and symbolism of the Five peddler?

This issue requires some knowledge of symbolism and some of Japanese origami. In most diagrams origami cherry blossom with five trumpets. Is there a reason for five peddler? Does the representation of five vendor have any particular significance? Does the number five represent anything in particular in Japanese culture? Oop's! I refer to the petals. Lond days!
