Embossing Folder
what is the difference between the embossing folders and Sizzix textured plates?

The embossing folders are also dies – in addition to just cutting out a specific shape, the die embosses the shape giving the finished item more definition / texture

The textured plates are not dies – these are designed to add texture to your paper which you can then use to create something.

In other words if you want a die cut that is embossed you would would an embossing folder, but if you want to create a sheet of textured paper you would use a textured plate.

Hope this helps
