Determination of coat color in the Labrador Retriever breed can be a daunting task. Through years of breeding this breed of dog that I have gathered a lot information. Question on a regular basis is … "What color will the pups be?" so I decided to take all my skills together and explain the genes determining the color of single layer as possible. Below is a detailed description of genes and their purpose. Just remember that "B" coat color monitors and "E" regulates or color pigment is deposited in hair.
