to have 6 baby hamsters in the normal trash you die?
Mama hamster had babies, died 6 of 8. Is it normal? please let me know!
This is not abnormal for 6 out of 8 babies to die. When hamsters are more than 4 babies in a litter, most tend to be weak, which may be why they die. This is a quirk of nature and science fun yet to discover why this happens. The main argument is that the hamster mother can not care for large litters and focuses on the care of his only healthier thereby maximizing the chances of survival at the expense of healthier ones of the weakest. So do not worry about it, let the hamster mother take care of both healthy and ensure that they provide a food and water, along with protein supplements for the mother and the boiled egg and cheese so she is healthy enough to care for her remaining young.
